Common Name: 'Golden oats'

AGM. This has to be one of the most spectacular of the flowering grasses and is one of the most popular for specimen planting. Clumps of arching linear blue-green leaves with huge oat-like buff flower heads produced on straight stems in early summer and persisting until late autumn. Jun-Sep. H45cm S60cm. Flowers to H200cm

It needs full sun and performs much better in a light, moderately fertile soil, doing extremely well in sandy coastal situations.
