A popular Salvia with a compact habit and masses of maroon-purple flowers. Long flowering, Jul-Nov. Height and spread 60cm.
Grow in sun and light, moderately fertile, well-drained soil. Tolerant of light shade and also of dry conditions once established. Dislikes winter wet or particularly cold gardens. Cut back in Spring. Good for butterflies and bees.
