Rheum palmatum var. tanguticum

Common Name: 'Giant rhubarb'

An impressive, large leaved, clump-forming perennial, like a giant rhubarb, with deeply cut red-purple leaves fading to green and plumes of deep pink flowers. Jun-Aug. H200cm S120cm.

Care Instructions

Grow in moist, humus-rich soil in full sun or partial shade. Mulch with well-rotted farmyard manure in autumn or spring. Looks dramatic planted next to water.
