Polystichum aculeatum
Common Name: 'Hard shield fern'AGM. This is a compact, hardy, semi-evergreen fern which is a British native. The finely cut fronds are yellowish-green in spring, maturing to a dark green and are formed from thick stems covered in brown scales. H60cm S75cm.
Care Instructions
For a fertile, well-drained soil in shade or semi-shade. Good for a woodland situation or providing ground cover under deciduous trees and shrubs.
