Common Name: 'Purple moor grass'

A deciduous clump-forming perennial grass. This is a short-growing form with erect spikes of purplish, almost black flowers above dark green foliage which turn pale brown and orange in autumn and winter. Jul-Oct. H60cm S45cm.

Care Instructions

Best grown in any moderately fertile, moist but well-drained soil in sun or partial shade. Prefers acidic or neutral soil. Cut back stems close to ground level from early March.
