Molinia caerulea subsp. arundinacea 'Transparent'

Common Name: 'Purple moor grass'

This superb deciduous, clump-forming, perennial grass is particularly beautiful after rainfall or frost. The fine, thread-like purple flower heads are held stiffly upright and last for many weeks in late summer before turning golden in autumn. Jul-Oct. H180cm S90cm.

Care Instructions

Best grown in any moderately fertile, moist but well-drained soil in sun or partial shade. Prefers acidic or neutral soil. Cut back stems close to ground level from early March.
