Molinia caerulea subsp. arundinacea 'Skyracer'

Common Name: 'Purple moor grass'

A deciduous clump-forming perennial grass. This is a strongly upright form which is also particularly tall growing. Panicles of purple flower spikelets appear in late summer which, together with the foliage, turn to warm autumnal colours later in the season. Jul-Oct. H210cm S90cm.

Care Instructions

Best grown in any moderately fertile, moist but well-drained soil in sun or partial shade. Prefers acidic or neutral soil. Cut back stems close to ground level from early March.
