Meconopsis complexa

Synonym(s): Meconopsis napaulensis Common Name: 'Nepal poppy'

Extraordinary, enormous over-wintering rosettes of hairy leaves, produce spectacular spires of many flowers which may be red, yellow, pink or white, in the late spring and early summer. May-Jun. H200cm S75cm. 

Care Instructions

A monocarpic species that will die after flowering but sets plenty of seed. Grow in a reliably moist, humus-rich soil in semi-shade. Shelter from cold drying winds.
