Meconopsis 'Marit'

Common Name: 'Himalayan poppy'

AGM. Large rounded white flowers on tall stems in late spring-mid summer. A vigorous plant and probably the best of the few white-flowered big "blue" poppies. Fine features include hairy rosettes of young leaves, handsome mature foliage and striking ginger-bristled fruit capsules. May-Jul. H100-125cm S60cm.

Care Instructions

Plant in moist, humus-rich, well-drained soil in an open situation or partial shade sheletered from drying winds. Looks wonderful in a shady border. Divide every few years in early spring to maintain vigour.
