Lavandula stoechas 'Helmsdale'

Common Name: 'French lavender'

A compact, intensely aromatic evergreen shrub with narrow grey-green leaves and dark violet flowers which form an elongated head with complimentary bright purple wings. Jun-Aug. H40cm S40cm.

Care Instructions

For full sun and well-drained soil. L. stoechas cultivars tend to be more tender than many other Lavenders so choose a sheltered site. Dislikes heavy, wet soil. Trim back in late summer. Good bee plant.
