Iris germanica 'Deep Black'

A lovely clump-forming perennial with flowers of deepest, richest indigo with a delicate scent. Semi-reflexed falls virtually black and indigo standards and grey-green strap-like leaves. May-Jun. H90cm S50cm.

Care Instructions

Best grown in sun and moderately fertile, well-drained soil. Bearded irises like to have their rhizomes baked by the sun so try not to cover this with soil or other foliage. Divide the clumps every so often after flowering to maintain their vigour. Do not over-feed.
