Hosta 'Abiqua Drinking Gourd'

Hosta 'Abiqua Drinking Gourd'

Common Name: 'Plantain lily'

AGM. A robust, clump-forming, deciduous perennial with large, distinctly cup-shaped and puckered, blue-grey leaves that have good slug resistance. Funnel-shaped white flowers, Jul-Aug. H60cm S80cm.

Care Instructions

Hostas will grow in any fertile, moisture-retentive garden soil, but thin sands and heavy clays are best improved before planting. Best grown in partial shade but can tolerate sun or deeper shade as long as the soil is moist. Mulch around the plant in autumn or spring. Makes an excellent contrast with ferns at the edge of a woodland or shady border. Also looks good growing as a specimen in a large pot.

Plant No: 3254
