Care Instructions
Thrives in neutral to alkaline soils that are moist, fertile and humus-rich. Partial shade is ideal but can tolerate full sun. Provide shelter from strong, cold winds. Mulch annually in autumn. Relatively easy to grow but may be slow to establish. Cut off the old leaves in January before the flowers emerge. This shows off the flowers to best effect and fresh, new leaves quickly emerge as the flowers fade.
