A clump-forming perennial with lobed leaves which often have brownish markings. Lots of small deep purple-maroon flowers. May-Jul. H60cm S60cm.

Care Instructions

Easy in moderately fertile, well-drained soil in sun or part shade but most soils (unless waterlogged) are tolerated. Especially good in damp shade but thrives in drier conditions too. Self-seeds. Excellent for naturalizing in woodland.
