Common Name: 'Variable-leaved sea holly'

Very spiky, silvery-blue flower-heads with narrow, spiny silver bracts are borne on stiff stems from a rosette of glossy, evergreen leaves, which are heavily veined with white. Architectural with long period of interest. Jul-Aug. H45cm S45cm.

Care Instructions

Grow in dry, well-drained soil that is poor to moderately fertile. Full sun is essential. Dislikes winter wet. Looks great with grasses such as Stipa tenuissima.
