Synonym(s): Bergenia cordifolia 'Vinterglod' Common Name: 'Elephant's ears'

An evergreen, clump-forming perennial with rounded, toothed, glossy, dark green leaves which turn shades of red in autumn and winter. Upright, dark red stems bear dense clusters of open bell-shaped, magenta flowers in springApr-May. H45cm S45cm.

Care Instructions

Best grown in moist but well-drained, humus-rich soil in sun or partial shade. Dislikes hot, dry conditions but tolerates poor soil and exposed sites. Frosts may damage early flowers.
