Common Name: 'Elephant's ears'

Evergreen, spreading clumps of rounded, slightly wavy leaves to 30cm long which are often tinged purple in winter. Large, upright, deep pink flower heads are produced in spring. Apr-May. H45cm S60cm.

Care Instructions

Best grown in moist but well-drained, humus-rich soil in sun or partial shade. Dislikes hot, dry conditions but tolerates poor soil and exposed sites. Frosts may damage early flowers. The best choice for tough situations, forming robust, evergreen, ground cover.
