Aster amellus 'King George'

Common Name: 'Italian aster'

AGM. This superb plant is completely covered in large, violet-blue daisies with yellow centres, in late summer and autumn. It is mildew resistant and more drought tolerant than many other asters. Aug-Oct. H45cm S45cm.

Care Instructions

Best grown in moderately fertile, well-drained soil in an open sunny position; thrives in alkaline soil. It often looks untidy in a pot but great in the garden where it provides a valuable splash of late colour. Excellent for butterflies.
