Common Name: 'Switch grass'

A deciduous, clump-forming grass with an upright habit. The bright green blade-like leaves turn red in summer and become crimson in Autumn. Purplish feathery flowers. Aug-Sep. H100cm S60cm.

Care Instructions

Prefers a sunny situation and an average loamy soil although it tolerates a wide range of soils, but not heavy clay. A nice architectural grass particularly suited to prairie planting or ideal as an accent plant.
