Paeonia officinalis 'Rubra Plena'

AGM. This is the old-fashioned robust, perennial Peony that is so often associated with cottage gardens. It has large, blousy, dark crimson, flowers with a refined fragrance, which are produced slightly earlier than those of the P.lactiflora hybrids. May. H60cm S60cm.

Care Instructions

Best planted in full sun or very light shade and a good, rich, deep soil with the crowns no deeper than 2.5cm (1'') below the surface. It makes a good cut flower and the foliage is also useful for flower arranging, particularly in the autumn when it turns a glorious, deep, ruby-red.
